Lameness Locator

For quick detection of lameness in horses, we offer a so-called Lameness Locator at our   Maichingen horse clinic. This system records your horse's gait and analyzes its movements   using acceleration sensors. Even the smallest deviations from the norm may be detected in an   objective gait analysis , allowing existing lameness to be detected in several places at once. [Nbsp] Often diagnoses can be made immediately. [Nbsp]

Compared to conventional measuring methods, our system offers the advantage that   movement data may not only be recorded independent of location but also remotely. This is   enabled by the use of IMUs (Inertial Measurement Units) ie special motion sensors attached   to the horse's croup, neck and right front leg. The Lameness Locator System has proven its   accuracy, speed and reliability and has been in use in many practices worldwide.

Results of years of research

By recording the data of thousands of horses, scientists have been able to create movement  profiles enabling a computerized, objective assessment of gait. This research has created a  wealth of experience that allows us, today, to easily identify lameness in horses. At our horse  clinic we are glad to offer you diagnostics based on the Lameness Locator System.
